Yesterday

That's when I said I would be here with WIP news. Thing is, I was still occupied with reorganizing this place--a job I started Tuesday as a birthday present to myself. Since before the first of the year, it felt like I was just grabbing at things and making piles and getting in worse and worse of a jumble. I needed order!

That's more like it. Before the fix, this office had no surface area not covered with piles and piles of stuff. Even my chair was full of junk!
I cleared everything out, filed papers, put some in the recycling bin, set my laptop back in here from the living room so I can once again juggle between it and the desktop (they each do different tasks for me), and made a file for each design project in the works and put them right next to the desk so I have my priorities in my face where they get attention! Now I can work in a sort of organized way again. Whew.

And here are the lime green WIP's I promised and then stood you up with yesterday. Please forgive.
First, there's the hat I'm working on with Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool for Lucy, my grandaughter--it still needs some tweaks. Then there's the shawl I'm designing with Zibeline Knits Belle Ewe and the Kathy's Cowl I'm making with Aunt Lydia's Bamboo Crochet Thread. And you see something here that is actually neither knitting nor crochet. Well, that's different! Variety is the spice. Lately I have had my mind back on this crewel project from about 30 years ago--I think I started this in my twenties. It's a Vogart Crafts "Crewel Creative Stitchery Kit" that features a basket of veggies, which includes some of our bright green.
We would call it "vintage" now. I guess I'm "vintage" too.
I'm from what I think they now call the "mid-century period." {chuckle}

So have you worked something up using lime green? If so, send me a pretty picture of it at jen(at)jenhagan(dot)com and you just might win a goody box!
You have until tomorrow at midnight Pacific Time.

Happy Thursday!

Good job cleaning and organizing! I spent about an hour last night filing bills. Why is it I let it go for 6 months when it would just take a few minutes every other week?

Because we'd always rather be making things. :-)

Yes, I completely agree with you, being organized is key! I love your projects! Elsebeth Lavold yarns are always lovely, I love using them.
