NaCroMo Day 20: Color Check

I thought I would bring two of the swatches from Day 17 up to equal footing and examine them more closely.
Still trying to pick which one to expand.
There are a couple of differences here--pattern and color. The left swatch has a random pattern while the right swatch has a deliberate one.
The left swatch has two yarns that are solids and two that are hand-dyed and mottled. The right swatch uses three hand-dyed yarns.

Maybe a close-up will help.

Left Swatch:
Cascade Heritage in #5611 &#5618
Pagewood Farm Yukon in Forest Camo
Pagewood Farm Aleyeska in Daffodils

Right Swatch:
Claudia Hand Painted Fingering in Shells on the Beach
Pagewood Farm Yukon in Forest Camo
Pagewood Farm Aleyeska in Daffodils

Thoughts?

I'm still a fan of the one on the left, I like it the best. I also really like the stitch pattern that you decided on for these swatches, it is really pretty! I really cannot wait to see what these become.

I am partial to the left one, it seems fresh and clean to me.

Thanks for your thoughts, Nat and Pumpkin. I see your point and I think both of these deserve to be worked up. My first thought is baby blanket with a fun, geometric edging (or even a scallop for contrast), but I'm going to keep these out so they can talk to me and tell me what they want to grow up to be. We'll see!

As for the stitch pattern, it's really fun because it's only two rounds and works up fast. It's also really easy to join these as you go, which is a standout factor for me. :-)
