Where's the Yarn?

I know! There's been too little yarn-lookings lately.
After our trip I tried to get caught up with my to do list and then I got sucked into a hole and it felt like I was  spinning in the middle of the room from too many things!

All better now. Whew!

I also feel like it's time to check back in on that list I made a few months ago.

1. Mirth pattterns--two in production right now. Finished and tested and ready for the tech editor--soon!
2. The freelance sweaters--one shelved (indefinitely) and one on hold until late summer.
3. Gloves--still waiting up in the workroom for me.
4. Mom's blanket--over halfway done and at present I'm only a couple of weeks behind schedule.
5. Jog? Not so much, but I have been working out and doing the walks with major hills. I can do 30 push ups and as many sit ups and am within 5 pounds of that magic number. I feel great!
6. Renew passport. Still gotta!
7. Instructional videos--not yet, because if I had done it, you'd be the first to know it.
8. Debt--paying on it regularly and vanquishing that old foe once again!!!!
9. Second raised bed--done this past weekend thanks to daughter's boyfriend and my trusty husband. We'll be planting this weekend!
10. Visit family down south--you know we got that one done, because that's about all I've been talking about the past two weeks. Right?

Now, let's look at some yarn makings.

Some of you are on Instagram, so you've already seen these pictures, but I just have to share.
I recently finished another Kathy's Cowl with some taupe cashmere from Ravenwood Cashmere
So soft. Here I am trying it on before blocking.
I got this little sweetie recently from Cephalopod, who just added the Nautilace to their line. This is baby camel down and silk in Bubble Eye. Orange!

And then when I saw that Quince & Co started offering dyed linen, their Sparrow yarn, I just could not resist getting a few skeins to design a little summer top. This is Little Fern. I have never knit with 100% linen before, and this is lovely organic fiber from Belgium, spun in Italy. Let's see what happens!

Oh, and I did block the cowl.

Though I did buy these little bits of yarn, I had two yarn crawls going on right here nearby last weekend and did not even go to a single yarn shop! I know--it's blasphemy. I just knew I needed more yarn about like a dandelion needs longer roots (and those of you who try to stay ahead of your dandelions like I do know what I mean) and we had housework to do! I cleared the rest of the grass off the plot for the raised bed and cut the grass and gave the Weedeater a run for its money instead of looking at more yarn. Good things.

In other news, we are working on some exciting updates at Mirth and at Figheadh and I can't wait to show you. Newish patterns are getting ready to go up for sale and the Figheadh site is finally getting an upgrade.
I'll let you know just as soon as there's anything to see.

Happy Tuesday!
