Feeling Loopy
I know! Me posting two days in a row? My world must be on its ear--but I had to show you what came in the mail yesterday.
Monday, I ordered some sock yarn to make the sample for a new pattern. I wanted some yarn from a company that made coordinating colors in sock weight and a heavier weight. The design is for men's socks and a matching scarf--great for gifts, huh?
Well, I thought of Mountain Colors and Lorna's Laces, knowing both offer different weights of yarns with the same colorways. I researched and found that I could get some beautiful Lorna's very reasonably priced from The Loopy Ewe. I ordered, and it came yesterday! Not only that, look how cute--each kind of yarn bundled up in a little package along with some goodies. Inside were also some Regia Silk and Regia Bamboo samples and some needle inventory cards. Not only that, but also a nice handwritten note from Sheri was tucked in. We could all learn a lot from her customer service. The site is great and getting this yarn couldn't have been any easier.
And look at this yarn!
That's Mine Shaft in sport weight on the left and Pewter in the sock weight on the right. Boy, I can't wait to get my needles into this!
Speaking of socks (and don't we often?), I finished one of my Seagull Socks samples in J. Knits Superwash Me, color AC #135. It's made such a warm, soft fabric. Do you ever just stop while knitting with certain yarn and marvel at the stitches--just the pure wonder of all those stitches making such a sturdy plane of perfection? I did with these.
Yep, I am deep in sock frenzy here,
so back to it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Also, I turned the heel and finished the gusset on my Lavendar Sheep Mountain Sunset Zigzag Socks. It's such fun knitting with this yarn! The colors that pop up and surprise you--mostly purple (yum) but with every other color imaginable.

I'm so glad you like knitting with the Mountain Sunset. It is quite possibly my favorite colorway. I enjoyed knitting with it recently myself =)
